Modification - Helmet Eyes
Well, i'ts time to change that "dodgy" armour....and
the first to go is the eye peices. They were WAY too small,
and too far apart. So here goes my first ever MAJOR change
to the Helmet.
First, I took out the lenses. They were hot glued in, so
I took soldering iron, and VERY carefully heated up the
glue until it was pliable. And then pulled the lenses out.
I then generally marked the area out using a dry board
marker.
After masking round the area I was going to work on, I
took to the eyes with a dremmel, until I was quite close
to the markings I had made. Then I went to work with a needle
file, and worked towards the edges.
With one eye done....I maked out the second, and repeated
the task.
This is the "almost finished" result. I still
have to get the eyes "symetrical", but it's not
a great task. And already the eyes look so much better!!!
